The Monterey Town Hall will be closed on the following dates in 2012 in observance of the holidays specified:

Monday, January 2nd*	New Year’s Day
Monday, January 16^th	Martin Luther King Day
Monday, February 20^th	President’s Day
Monday, April 16^th	Patriot’s Day
Monday, May 28^th	Memorial Day
Wednesday, July 4^th	Fourth of July
Monday, September 3^rd	Labor Day
Monday, October 8^th	Columbus Day
Monday, November 12^th*	Veteran’s Day
Thursday, November 22^nd	Thanksgiving Day
Tuesday, December 25^th	Christmas Day

Massachusetts General Law (c.4, s.7) designates these days as legal holidays in Massachusetts. *If the holiday falls on a Saturday, employees will be allowed the Friday before if the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be the holiday day.
