Summer is officially here!
- For those of you that use Greene Park, there is now an outdoor drinking faucet on the end of the Town Hall building. Remember to keep hydrated!
- There will be a Blood Drive at the Town Hall on Tuesday, July 27th from 10am to 3pm, to schedule your appointment please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go online at www.givelife.org
- The next free blood pressure clinic with the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association will be on Thursday, July 8th from 2 – 3pm.
- Community Health Programs will be here administering free health screenings on Tuesday, July 20th, from 10am – noon. To schedule an appointment please call Luci Leonard at 644-0104 x15. Walk-ins are also welcome.
- New Transfer Station Stickers begin on July 1st, if you haven’t yet purchased your FY11 stickers they are available at the Town Hall. Applications are also available on the website: http://www.montereyma.gov/Public_Documents/MontereyMA_TransferStation/FY11sticker.PDF
- The Town Hall will be closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.
- The Board of Selectmen has begun the FY2011 appointment process to fill vacancies on various Town Boards and Committees. Residents willing to serve are encouraged to send a letter of interest, either by email to townmont@verizon.net or by regular mail to Board of Selectmen, P.O. Box 308, Monterey, MA 01245.
- Council on Aging 1 open seat 3 year term
- Employee Compensation Committee 1 open seat 1 year term
- Historical Commission 2 open seats 3 year terms
- Solid Waste Committee 1 open seat 3 year term
- Veteran’s Memorial Committee 1 open seat 2 year term
- Parks Commission 1 open seat 2 year term
