Function | The Monterey Cultural Council is a Select Board appointed committee. Members can serve a maximum of 2 - 3yr terms. The Cultural Council administers State funds that are distributed annually by the Massachusetts Cultural Council to each town. Artists or other applicants submit applications by an October deadline, and the council reviews the applications and determines how to distribute the available funds. This committee also organizes and holds events for the benefit of the town's cultural, scientific and artistic needs. |
