Parks Commission meeting: 1-2-08
· The Commission discussed starting to advertise for summer lifeguards.
· Four full time guards are needed. The pay starts at $12.00 per hour.
· It is important that all paper work for subs are in prior to them being on duty at the beach. As a result a new policy of giving two weeks notice when a sub is needed will be implemented.
· Incident reports will be made up this year. One will be filled out any time there is any situation at the beach including a child needing a bandaide.
· A certified swim instructor needs to be hired for swim lessons. A fee of $10.00 per family was discussed. Swim lessons should take place in the morning this year for three year olds and up depending on the instructor.
