Section 5. Conservation Commission
The Town voted to accept the provisions of Chapter 40, Section 8C of the General Laws, authorizing the Select Board to appoint a Conservation Commission; and the provisions of said Chapter 40, Section 5, clause 51 providing for the operation and maintenance of said Conservation Commission; and the Select Board are authorized to appoint a Conservation Commission of seven members; and the Conservation Commission are authorized to expend for the purpose of the law hereby appropriated to the Conservation Fund which is hereby established.
The Town voted to accept the provisions of Chapter 131 Section 39A of the General Laws, Chapter 842 of the Acts of 1974, entitled Protection of Watershed Resources and Preservation of Natural Scenery in the Berkshire Mountains and to designate the Conservation Commission to carry out the provisions thereof.
