Section 1. Mandatory Recycling
In order to implement a program of recycling in conjunction with ordinary waste disposal, residents of every household shall separate waste material into the following categories before depositing the same for disposal:
1) glass and cans;
2) paper and corrugated paper (cardboard);
3) other recyclable materials.
If the waste material has not been separated, it may not be accepted at the transfer station. The Select Board shall announce the inception of this program 30 days before the Commonwealth’s material recovery facility commences operation.
