MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: April 16, 2020
Present: John Makuc, Julio Rodriguez and Roy Carwile
Also Present: Jim Wilusz, Brad Hunt, Karen Salamon, John Szablowski
The meeting began at 4pm
The Board met to discuss the ongoing Coronavirus situation:
- Jim provided an update. He has been attending the regular command online meetings with the state.
- Future outlook: As of right now it appears that we are still in the peak and people need to continue to follow the guidance out there.
- Partners in Health will soon be helping with all case tracing.
- Jim reported that Berkshire Regional Planning Commission has monies available to assist with contact tracing, he will follow up with them on how Monterey fits in with that since we currently have zero confirmed cases.
- M. Noe will reach out to our Berkshire Visiting Nurse to put her in contact with Jim and provide him access to Maven.
- Representatives of Hume attended the meeting and reported that camp operations have been closed since March 23rd and they will not be reopening until they are given the ok to do so from the state.
- Jim reported that he will be assuming the DEP testing of the transfer station that Peter used to perform once the COVID precautions have relaxed.
- Jim reported that the online permitting module should be up and running in May.
- It was confirmed that the pipe at Lake Garfield that has running water is not treated, is on private property and should not be used as a public drinking supply.
