Historic District Study Committee Meeting Minutes 4/28/21

MINUTES    LOCAL HISTORIC DISTRICT     APRIL 28, 2021

1. The Committee has decided our webpage focused on Monterey History would be appropriate as a next step. Our proposed district would be included permanently,  providing the committee can get a majority of homeowners in the district to approve it as a National Parks Historic Place.
2. Kate will follow up and report on the domain and the template for the site, to be reimbursed through the Monterey Historical Society.
3. We would like to be able to use Lenny Weber’s portrait of Monterey and need permission from Jason Weber or Rudi Bach, who is the contact on the sales site. Barbara will report on progress.
4. We will review additional photos, including a new photo of one house that seems not to be in MACRIS but is known to have been in place by 1905.  Maureen will help.
5. The committee asks if a district needs to be contiguous.  Barbara will ask Mass Historical Commission for their opinion based on other districts.
6. Jennifer and Barbara will create a folder for approved web images that Kate will use in the website. Photos in that folder will be used on the website without further permission
