The Town Clerk’s Office is issuing this statement to clarify recent information shared on the town website regarding the Select Board election.

A notice posted earlier this week was issued by a single member of the Board of Registrars and was not reviewed or approved by the full Board prior to its release. That notice has since been removed and should not be considered an official or authorized communication of the Board.

The Monterey Board of Registrars does not endorse or oppose any candidate for elected office and is committed to administering elections in a fair, impartial, and lawful manner. As Town Clerk, I support and uphold that commitment to neutrality.

Voters are encouraged to participate in the upcoming election and to make their voting decisions independently.
