The Clerk conducts the annual town census and prepares the street list of residents and the school list. Records and certifies all official actions of the Town, registers all vital events occurring within the community, records and preserves original birth, marriage, and death records and provides certified copies of these records when requested. The Clerk will also assist with genealogical research. Issues state licenses and permits: marriage licenses, hunting, fishing and trapping licenses,and permits for raffles and bazaars. The Town Clerk is also the
Chief election official. In this role this person supervises voter registration and absentee balloting, oversees polling places, and administers campaign finance laws. This position also certifies nomination papers and initiative petitions.
