January 11, 2022

MINUTES

Members Present:  Pauline Banducci, Mari Enoch, Stuart Litwin, David Myers, Jeff Zimmerman

A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order at 7:08.   Pauline arrived a few minutes after the meeting started.

Pauline updated the committee on her research in the Town Clerk’s office.  After bylaws are voted at Town Meeting, they are submitted to the Mass Office of the Attorney General.  The AG’s Office has 90 days to review for consistency with Mass State Law.  There is at least one typographic error that changes the substance of the Bylaw that needs correction.

The Committee reviewed and suggested corrections and amendments to Sections I and II.  The proposed revisions are tracked in a working document in google docs.  The Committee agreed that in addition to considering outdated or unnecessary bylaws, the wording and format of the bylaws should be edited for consistency in language and organization. Jeff noted that the Committee should also consider what is missing from the current Bylaws.

The date of the next meeting was set for Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 7:00.

A motion was made, seconded, and so voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:57.
