Conservation Commission Minutes

MEETING DATE: FEBRUARY 13, 2019

The meeting convened at 6:10 pm

Continued Hearings:

1.            4 Point Rd – Quagliata – unpermitted activity – update of wetland delineation and ratify EO

KW briefed the members on the status of the EO.  Chris Tyron of Berkshire Geo Tech was in attendance representing the property owners.  Mr. Tyron will be submitting a plan to remove the sand from the bank and truck it off site.  Discussion followed on correcting the location of the Dock and removal of the retaining wall.  Mr. Tyron suggested to do a native planting on the wall rather than creating a further disturbance of the bank.  KW will reach out to DEP to see if a planting would be permitted.  The EO was ratified.

2.            6 Point Rd – Fried/Greenwald – unpermitted activity – update of wetland delineation and ratify EO

KW briefed the members on the status of the EO.  The property owner has received the EO and assured the Con Comm that she will fully comply with the EO.  Ms. Greenwald will contact Mr. Tyron of Berkshire Geo Tech for is availability to do the restoration of the unpermitted activity and update the commission of the status by the next meeting.  The EO was ratified

1.            18 Bidwell Rd- Frace – EO – unpermitted activity – update of wetland delineation

KW briefed the members on the status of the EO.  Representing the property owner, Wetland Strategies submitted a delineation and will be attending the meeting in March to give an update the restoration.

Correspondence:  MACC Conference for 2019.  Members KW, JR, and ML will register and attend.
