Minutes of August 19, 2019 - Final

The meeting convened at 10:00. Present Were: Norma Champigny, Roz Halberstadter, Jo-ann Bell, Ilene Marcus

1. Discussed the Val-kill trip on October 23^rd, 2019 for 8 am to 6 pm – leaving and returning from Town Hall.    
   • Got details on transportation via school bus from DuFour for $75/ hour and it will be a 10 hour day for total cost of $750 (vs. the limo bus at $175/hour that the COA members decided will be too expensive).  The contact ta Dufour is 1-413-655-8122 and can be finalized with Jeff, Linda, Katie or Sue.  The bus can hold a maximum of 48 people and can be confirmed a week prior to the date.
   • Ilene reported that Kyle has booked the tour on from 10-11:30 am
   • We reviewed the CIA website and decided on the Italian restaurant.  Ilene will try to make reservations on line by August 23 (2 months prior which is the earliest you can make reservations for 1 pm.  We will plan for 28 people and can always cut back.  The estimated cost for lunch $26.
   • The committee will decide next month on how to charge for the trip and collect the money.

1. Ideas were discussed for future events including:  Visit to Hume for a meal and discussion on resources for Seniors (Ilene will call for dates); Cannadocs (Kyle will call to get dates).

1. There will be no meeting next week and the next meeting will be on September 9, 2019 at the MCC at 9am.  At 10 am the COA will host the regional COAs for the quarterly meeting.
