FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
February 19, 2020

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 9:00 AM IN THE TOWN HALL.
The Finance Committee and Select Board listened to David Eisenthal of Unibank explain the borrowing options available to the town. Next, a discussion of departments/committees which still needed to be reviewed and a timetable for completing those meetings was agreed upon. The Employee Health Insurance plan was discussed and it was agreed to invite a representative from BHG to attend the next joint meeting on March 4th at 4:30 PM. A direct comparison of the County’s two primary healthcare providers would be useful. Further, a review of the salary and wage history was conducted by Jon Sylbert. Over the past 15 years, the average increases exceeded over 2.0%. Decisions on these key budget items were left to be reviewed later in the FY Budget process. A brief review of the Long- Range Budget Plan was conducted without any decisions being made.
Provision for several Special Articles was discussed.
The Request for Transfer of Funds from the Town Reserve Fund in the amount of $15,736 was approved by the Finance Committee to address needed elevator repairs.
Minutes from the Finance Committee Meetings from 1/14, 1/15/, 1/23, 1/28, 2/5, and 2/14 were reviewed and approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:40 AM.
