FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

The meeting was called to order at 4:04 PM. 

The recent Town Counsel’s opinion regarding the Warrant preparation was discussed.  Based upon the lack of any detailed support for that opinion vs. the numerous references on this subject by the Department of Revenue’s correspondence (which supported the Finance Committee’s position), it was decided to ask the Select Board to have Atty. Pollard clarify his opinion since it appeared to be in conflict with DOR documents.

Rebecca was asked to update the FY 2021 budget docs for the 5/13 Joint Meeting.

Since the Town Meeting has been pushed back to June 27, we will have 11 months of actual spending by the first week of June.  The idea of including the Actual Year-to-Date 2020 figures on the Budget Summary is being considered.

The Minutes from the 5/4/2020 meeting were reviewed and approved.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:26 PM.
