FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

September 11, 2019

Meeting called to order at 8:04 AM at the Roadside Restaurant.

Jon Sylbert agreed to lead a study focused on the structure and responsibilities associated with the Town’s IT operations.  Steps to be taken are as follows:

• Create an Advisory Committee to the Select Board and Finance Committee
• Inventory the software and the hardware along with a life cycle summary
• Review purchasing process
• Examine website
  • Rules and responsibilities
    • Departments, Boards, Committees write their own docs
• Review implementation of a mandatory town related email system
  • Develop policies
• Utilize Tom Roy as a guide and advisor (Invite to next FC meeting)
  • Status of town server
  • Back-up systems
  • Personnel applications

Transfer Forms

• Reserve Fund forms = OK
• Appropriation Transfer forms
  • Need dates added to the top and bottom of the forms
  • Name Interdepartmental Transfer form
  • Policy and procedures write-up

Jon Sylbert volunteered to review the Health Insurance situation

• G.I.C. = State Plan
• M.I.I.A. = Current provider
