MONTEREY FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Meeting Date:  9/13/22

Finance Committee Members Present:   Michele Miller, Chair, and Frank Abbott

Finance Committee Members Absent:  none

Others present:

Meeting opened at: 4pm

The Finance Committee held a meeting with the Department of Public Works and was impressed with the complexity of the operations and the knowledgeability of the DOO.

Abbott made a motion to approve the minutes from 6/29/22 and 9/7/22. Miller seconded the motion and it passed with unanimous approval.

Reviewed the four candidates for interim Finance Committee member. All are well qualified and the FC recommends Ilene Marcus to the Select Board.

Continued work on the capital plan. Discussion of DPW vehicle maintenance, Fire Department needs, Town Hall building maintenance needs, storage needs, Police Department, workforce and personnel.

A motion was made, seconded, and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 4:55pm, to be followed by a joint meeting with the Select Board at 5pm.
