Finance Committee meeting minutes, Wednesday, April 3, 2019, 9:00am.

Joint budget session with Select Board:

Finance Committee informational meeting: scheduled for Friday, April 26, 7pm. SBRSD administrators and representatives from the Department of Energy Resources will attend to discuss the proposed assessment amendment to the district agreement and the Green Communities grant, respectively.

Unemployment: FY19 overage of $6,907 due to claim by fired employee will be added to May warrant for FY19. FY20 increase of ±$14,040 also due to claim by fired employee.

Fire Department: motion made and unanimously approved to restore training pay in the amount of $30,000 and to offer a special article in the amount of $30,000 for capital improvements to the firehouse.

Use of stabilization and free cash: motion made and unanimously approved to use stabilization in the amount of $140,000 to fund the highway truck and $11,000 to fund Retiree Group Insurance, and to use free cash to fund all other special articles in the amount of $140,548 in total.

FY20 budget: motion made and unanimously approved to accept FY20 budget with adjustments noted above.

Articles will be offered to rescind 2015 broadband borrowing vote and to rescind 2016 unused borrowing for fire truck.
