AGENDA Historical Commission August 24, 2023
1. We got word from a neighboring town regarding Mr. Ben Haley’s visit on August 10th, giving us a heads up regarding his intention to visit Monterey that afternoon. The note was not received in time to search for Mr. Haley in the District area, and he had not requested a meeting with members of the Commission.
2. Maureen received emails regarding pictures that Ben Haley noted were the same picture on 3 different properties (an error in not being saved properly). She sent corrected pictures for each property requested and they were acknowledged by Ben Haley via email and can be brought to the meeting. He is looking at our request to make formal application and his coming to Monterey shows the possibility of becoming an Historic District. We are grateful he is looking at our Village.
3. We do not have receipt of a reply to our letter to date but the situation would seem to require discussion since we have the funds to complete an application, as yet untouched.
