Agenda items to be discussed:

1. The Commission received several replies from Mr. Ben Haley to successive emails sent along with photographs by Maureen. In addition, a polite referral to Ben Haley by Mr. Peter Stott was received in answer to our request for help from him.
2. Mr. Haley has visited Monterey. His specific recommendations and observations as well as his suggestions for changes to our proposed District need careful review.
3. The Commission will discuss his letter of August 23rd, item by item, particularly as regards both additions to our District Area Map and deletions to it.
4. Regarding a statement of significance, Criteria A and C have the approval of Mr. Haley including both architectural significance C and the significance of our District Area to the economic development of Monterey from its inception in 1847.
