Lake Garfield and Lake Buel

For updates on the status of cyanobacteria at Lake Garfield and Lake Buel you can follow this link. The public beach is open as well as the lake for boating and other recreational activities. It is recommended that you do not swim, wade, or allow children or pets to enter areas where the water appears discolored or has surface scum. It is also recommended to avoid using lake water for cooking or drinking and rinsing water craft after removing them from the lake. The town will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
