National Grid Helicopter Assessing Transmission system

Beginning today (5/6/24), National Grid will perform a visual patrol of the entire electric transmission system. This work is expected to take approximately 10 days to complete. Pilots will fly Monday-Friday at their normal flight height and are not expected to hover around transmission towers or circuits unless an issue is found. Tail markings and colors are depicted on the image below.
