Cultural Council Meeting Minutes 8/10/2020

From the Local Cultural Council Monday August 10, 2020 On Zoom, Maggie Barkin, Wendy Germain and Carole Clairin. At the Gazebo on Zoom, Janet Jensen and Dorene Beller Discussion of the Financial information for the MCC's LCC Account Form. We have 2 accounts and the MCC would prefer we have one. Lisa Kelly who is our Accountant will complete the LCC Account Form so that it can be submitted to the MCC. Maggie will follow up and contact Veronica at the MCC to find out how to submit the form. Janet Jensen led a discussion Council Priorities so that those who wish to apply for grants have a better understanding when they describe their projects. It was agreed that Janet will include this information in an article she intends to write for the Monterey News. In addition to the information in Janet's article stating our goals, a box will be included to urge people to join an email list if they are interested in the activities of the LCC. Dorene asked if the article might make the process for applying clearer by using bullets or another form so that the information - dates, links or web addresses will stand out. Maggie and Janet will work together to edit the article for the October MN. Dorene raised the idea of a Zoom meeting to help people who have not applied for grants from our LCC previously and might have questions. A new date was set for October's zoom meeting on Monday, 10/19 at 4 pm.
