Lauren Gaherty - Presentation (next round of qualification is in Fall of 2019)

PB criteria required, Incentives for the town and or Residents (five criteria)

Estimated at 130K potential, could apply for mare after it is complete.

BRPS has a grant available to help with the process

  1. Allow clean energy projects by right (solar 250KW(1ac)/wind/Mfg/research and development) could be in limited zones or town owned land (old landfill)(would need to be done for town meeting in May)
  2. Requires expedited permitting (less than 1 year)
  3. Do a baseline of energy use in all town owned facilities and commit to reducing by 20% in 5 years
  4. Commitment to buy fuel efficient vehicles if they are available.
    1. Expect Monterey vehicles would be exempt
  5. Adopt Stretch Energy Code for new buildings (not renovations)
    1. Could be brought up by the planning board or the Select board
    2. Not sure if Affordable housing would be required to meet.

Don indicated the platform is a structure/construction, poles are not

Ropes course located in remote part of the property in the woods

The board considered if site plan review applies to this project

Stephen will meet with Don to discuss if this should fall into the need for site plan.

 

Larry made a motion to accept the packet as submitted as the site plan technical if a site Plan is required

Roger seconded the motion

Motion was approved unanimously by the board

 

Review of Public Hearing Results - Marijuana Bylaws

Recommend that we try to get a rep that knows the CCC regulations to help us at town meeting
