FISCAL 2024 REVALUATION OF REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN
OF MONTEREY MA
In compliance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56, the Board of Assessors have completed a revaluation of all real and personal property in the Town of Monterey has received Preliminary Certification from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue for all properties for Fiscal Year 2024.
Analysis of real estate transactions from January 2021 through December 2022, as well as regional data, were reviewed during the revaluation. The values were adjusted to reflect full and fair cash value as of January 1, 2023. Overall, compared to Fiscal Year 2022, real estate and personal property values have increased 15-17%. Note the actual percentage change on individual tax bills will differ as the tax rate has not yet been set.
The preliminary values will be available for public viewing beginning 11/20/23 for five business days ending 11/27/23. Public Disclosure is available for public review by going to the Town of Monterey website: www.montereyma.gov, and clicking on the link provided showing “FY24 Assessed Values”.
A list of the assessed values will also be available at the Assessor’s Office at the Monterey Town Hall, and the Assessors will be available during the following
