Board of Health Meeting Minutes 6/1/2020

MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Date:  June 1, 2020

Present:  John Makuc, Julio Rodriguez and Roy Carwile  

Also Present: Jim Wilusz, John Szablowski, Mike Gilberg, Oren Rosenthal

The meeting began at 4pm

The Board met to discuss the following:

1. Mike Gilberg gave an overview for Kutsher’s Sports Academy’s (KSA) plans for the camp season.  KSA will not be running an overnight camp season.  KSA intends to convert the facility into a spot where local families can purchase day passes to use the facilities with proper social distancing and safety measures put in place.  The Board approved the proposal provided that the state guidance is adhered to.
2. Oren Rosenthal asked for guidance on hosting outdoor choral activities under a pop up tent.  The Board advised that as long as the guidance on outdoor activities is followed there shoul’d be any issues.
3. Jim provided the latest updates from the state for reopening.
4. The Board agreed to move their meeting to 3pm for the summer.
