Agenda:

  1. 23 Seven Arts septic plan review

Jim provided an update regarding the 23 Seven Arts septic plan and the request for a new septic installation.Jim invited Mike Parsons to present the plan.Mike presented the plans to the Board of Health, and reported that the client had a falling out with the neighbor who there was a shared septic with.Therefore, the client requested to install their own private septic.Mike discussed the septic system to be installed along with the requirements for maintenance.Jim discussed the importance of protecting the lake, and inquired about who shut the system down.Jim said that they need to ensure that there are no pipes that have not been properly capped off.There will be a purification/ holding tank and a pump chamber.Tom suggested giving approval with the provision that the old system is capped off.Elizabeth said that she would follow up with Mr. Haber regarding capping the old system since it is on his property.

 

  1. Review Past Minutes

The Board of Health approved the minutes from 1/30/23, 3/20/23, and 4/14/23. 

  1. Unanticipated business

John confirmed that they had the letter for the Community Center all set, and Mary received a copy which will be sent in with the application. 

Jim provided an update on the Gould Farm roadside store.  Jim said that he would be on vacation during the next meeting.  Jim said that he will approve the plan and then the attorney would have to proceed with the client since it is on his property.  Jim will also follow up the attorney to ensure that she discussed the need to cap the system with the property owner. 

The Board of health unanimously agreed to adjourn at 2:45pm.
