TOWN OF MONTEREYINVITATION TO BIDMULTI-ROAD RESURFACING

 

The Town of Monterey, acting through the Select board, will accept sealed bids until Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1pm at the Town Offices, Monterey Grange#291, 435 Main Road, Post Office Box 308, Monterey, MA. 01245. The bids will be opened and read aloud at this time and will be awarded within ten (10) business days.  The sealed bids are for resurfacing Sandisfield Road Specifications are available online at http://www.montereyma.gov/bids All materials and workmanship are to meet the latest State specifications.  Prevailing wage rates shall apply under Chapter 149, Sections 26 and 27.  Project is estimated to cost $528,100.

Envelopes shall be clearly labeled “Sandisfield Road Resurfacing Bid”. Bid must include a 5% bid deposit. The successful bidder must furnish a 50% performance bond. Contractor must be prequalified under MGL Chapter 29, Section 8B in accordance with 729CMR 5.00 by MASSDOT. The Town of Monterey, acting through its Select board, reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the Towns best interest. The MINORITY EMPLOYEE percentage rate to be applied to this project will not be less than 5% in each class. Any questions shall be directed to the Director of Operations, 413-528-1734.

A motion was made to accept the DPW's recommendation of LB Corporation.  Steven, yes.  John, no.  Don, yes.  The bid was awarded to LB Corporation.
