Steve Called Meeting to order 7:30

Welcome Tracey Brennan as our newest Parks Commission member.

Invoices – Wendy and see are working on them and have all the outstanding and will work on processing them this week.  Wendy is happy to support and help

Kayak Situation Update – some confusion on berths, Steve has been dealing with.  We have new ideas for next year and Ilene contacted Shawn who has input and will give us his advice.  We do have new racks on backorder (will take us up to 60 spots for next year).  We are not sure when they will arrive.  There are many issues that we will address in the off-season including # of permits, labeling, size of boats, etc.

Life Guards – Season coming to the end so that contract will be paid and end.  The port-a-potty will be removed and Steve will make that call.  We will also review those operations for next year.  Steve will contact Mark Makuc about removing the buoys and ropes of the swimming area.

Telephone Calls – Steve cleared the messages (80 of them) and one was about the port-a-potty at the baseball field.  Steve made motion if we are unable to adhere to Mass guidelines on cleaning, we should not have.  Wendy seconded, all agreed.

Big Bellies – the waste disposal at the beach, it’s solar powered and we need to get one replaced that needs work.  Melissa notified us and Steve asked the question of replacement.  We all agree that we need to know more.  Steve made the motion, Ilene seconded and all agreed if it is within the budget and it’s been working well, with all of the provisos, we should go ahead with replacement, if no compelling reason to not move forward.

Contact and Setting Meeting – Wendy and Ilene agreed working well, Steve will reach out to Peter about best way to reach him.

Hockey Rink – people have approached Steve asking about the rink status.  Ilene mentioned that within the COVID provisos we agree it would be nice to have other communities involved.  Wendy seconded that due to the lack of physical activity options for teens it would be great if we could make it work.  All agreed that we should discuss at our fall meeting.

Steve closed the meeting at 7:58 pm
