- 8 Town Regional School District Planning Board update
Susan provided a brief update about the School District Planning Board and recommended that anyone interested look at the 8 Town website for meeting minutes and other documents: https://8towns.org/. Justin referred anyone interested in learning more to the 7/13/22 minutes of the Monterey Select Board or the YouTube video of the same meeting, at which the Chair of the Committee and a consultant for the project had a discussion with the Select Board and members of the public.
- Fiber Connect
Justin updated that Fiber Connect is working to complete its commitment with the Town per its December 2020 contract with the Town. Justin stated that the most recent update is that Fiber Connect is waiting on “make-readies” from Verizon and National Grid before completing any sections of road that it has not completed yet that are included in the contract.

Susan made updates about the compost program at the transfer station and the mattress recycling program. Susan also stated that the Transfer Station Committee is in the early stages of researching “pay per throw” options, and that environmental reasons were a motivator for looking into these programs.
