Minutes of the meeting of 4/11/22

Meeting Opened at: 6pm

Select Board Members Present: Steve Weisz, Chair, Justin Makuc

Select Board Members present absent: John Weingold

Also present: Douglas Minor, Hillel Maximon

Also present remotely: Don Coburn, Emily Johnson, Shawn Tryon

The Board reviewed the draft annual town meeting warrant:

1. The email from Attorney Riley with regard to the Lake Garfield tax district citizen petition was read into record. Attorney Riley recommended that the Board was not compelled to put the Lake Garfield tax district on the Warrant as there were no corresponding signatures attached to the article itself.
2. Justin requested that “4/5” be bolded, that the pollinator citizen petition be moved to the 1^st citizen petition and to move the 2 articles that were below the citizen’s petitions to above them to make the citizen’s petitions the last articles other than the elections.  Steve agreed.
3. Justin read into record the response from Attorney Riley on a draft article for amending the bylaw review committee bylaw based on the Attorney General’s response. A motion to add this article to the warrant was made, seconded, and approved 2 – 0.
4. A motion was made to accept the draft warrant as presented to allow Melissa to continue the numbering for Wed’s meeting.

A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 6:13pm
