Minutes of the meeting of 8/28/23
Meeting Opened at: 6pm
Select Board Members Present: Justin Makuc, Chair, Susan Cooper and Frank Abbott
Board members attended the joint Select Board meeting hosted by the 8 Town Regional School District Planning Board held at the Sheffield Senior Center.
For the vast majority of the meeting the Monterey Select Board did not deliberate. Justin inquired if there was a plan for the future use of the Mt. Everett building if the merger were to pass. Susan asked why the Southern Berkshire Towns’ assessments would shoot up relative to the Berkshire Hills Towns’ assessments before the safety valve was applied. A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 9pm
